Jam making

Event details

16 June 2013 - 10:00am - 3:00pm

Join local master jam-maker, Janet Peachey, of Peacheys Preserves at this masterclass and learn how quick and easy it is to make jam and conserves.

Janet will show you how to use a variety of fruits to create different flavours and give you lots of new ideas for baking.

Jams can be used for many things other than bread and scones - strawberry & vanilla is great in sponges and chilli jam is fantastic in chocolate brownies!

Please bring:

a measuring jug
wooden spoon
jam funnel (if you have one) although Janet will have a few
oven gloves
apron
a packed lunch

Bring your own ingredients and jars or pay £5 on the day for Janet's ingredients and jars.

Please let us know at the time of booking whether you will bring your own ingredients as Janet needs to know how much fruit to bring with her.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the price.
