Illustrated talk by Tom Doig exploring cures and remedies used by country people before the NHS. Previously Director of Cambridge and County Folk Museum, Tom's interest is in Victorian rural life. He writes on social and local history and appears on BBC Radio Cambs.

Tom will discuss fried mice, frothing snails, nasturtium infusion, pigs' bladders and sweating toads!
