Come along and see what moths are flying by night in the gardens here at Plumgarths.
This event has been cancelled.
For the third year running, Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Butterfly Conservation will set light traps around the gardens on Friday evening, to attract many species of attractive and interesting moths. We shall see and identify many moths as they arrive, then on Saturday morning the traps will be opened to examine the whole night’s catch prior to release. Please feel free to attend one or both events – but for the evening session, please wear warm outdoor clothing and bring a torch. All the family are welcome. Refreshments will be available. These events are free but booking is essential and donations are welcome on the day.
