An introductory course on the biology, habitats and conservation of Suffolk's reptiles.
The course will cover simple survey methods so that you can take part in the county-wide survey of this interesting but under-recorded group of animals.
Tutor, John Baker, lives in Suffolk and is an expert on amphibians and reptiles. He works with the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust and the network of Amphibian and Reptile Groups around the country (ARG UK) http://www.arc-trust.org/. John has had a lifelong passion for amphibians and reptiles and has been fortunate enough to be able to pursue this interest for much of his career.
The course will be based at Sudbourne Village Hall with a vist to the Trust's nearby nature reserve Captain's Wood.
You will need to wear suitable outdoor clothing, stout footwear and bring a packed lunch. You may also like to bring a notebook and pen and a camera. Tea, coffee and biscuits included in the price.
