Event details

1 May 2013 - 8:00pm - 10:30pm

A walk along the coastal dunes between Seascale and Sellafield. We will look for reptiles and amphibians in the sand dunes and arrive at the ARC Sellafield Natterjack Toad nature reserve at dusk to see and hear calling natterjack toads.

Please note that toad activity is weather dependent. Wear good footwear for rough dune terrain and bring waterproofs and warm clothes if weather conditions dictate. Bring a torch. Please let us know if you would like to attend, email ecocumbria@btinternet.com or call 01946823852, or call/text mobile: 07710130037. Led by Les Robertson, the walk is around 2.5 miles and children are welcome. No dogs please. There is a suggested donation of £2 to be collected on the night. Organised by West Coast Local Support Group.
