Event details

6 April 2013 - 11:00am - 3:00pm

Join us at Lower Smite Farm for a workshop in beekeeping and discover what makes bees buzz with a practical hive demonstration (bee suits provided).

Due to the cold weather this course has been postponed.  Please check our What's On pages to find out when.

Find out about the benefits of becoming a beekeeper, what you’ll need to start keeping bees and what bees need to survive.  We’ll also look at the wider context of beekeeping and why bees are such an important contributor to human welfare.

Things to bring: packed lunch, rubber washing up gloves, waterproof/over trousers, wellington boots (we have limited spare wellies if you don’t have your own).  Please avoid wearing dark/black clothing.

Please let us know if you have had a known anaphylactic reaction.
