The members' conference will go ahead despite the snow, please check local travel conditions before you set off in order to make your own decision on whether to travel.
Cumbria Wildlife Trust's annual conference will be an opportunity for members to find out more about local wildlife and current conservation issues affecting Cumbria, and learn about the Trust's latest work. The conference is an informal event, with refreshments and lunch provided. It offers interesting activities and topics for all our members. There will also be several group sessions on new issues, including: carbon with Senior Conservation Officer Neil Harnott; our marine campaigning and conservation work; plus special guest speakers including ornithologists John Peatfield, Bryan Yorke, and bee reserve manager Julia Hoggard. There's a suggested donation of £17 which includes refreshments and lunch, and there are free places for those over 16 in further education.
