Event details

30 September 2012 - 10:00am - 3:00pm

Learn how to make your own cider with a traditional cider press, using crab apples from Treswell Wood (or bring your own from your garden). This simple process makes use of the fruit of ancient orchards to create a tasty drink, which will be ready in time for Christmas. Bring a clean demijohn to take home your apple juice; you will also be given simple instructions on the fermentation process. There will be a chance to find out about the importance of old orchards for both people and wildlife.
