8 December 2012 - 10:30am - 2:00pm
Come along and join the Surrey Greenspace Project Team and the Horsell Common Preservation Society for some Green Christmas Fun at Pyrford Common in Woking.
We’ll put the 3 R’s into action: Recycling this very popular event we will be continuing the past 3 years’ good work of cutting back (Reducing) the dense holly using hand tools to allow greater light to the ground. This will encourage a greater diversity of ground flora to this regionally important site. However this is not the end of the story….you will then have the chance to Reuse the cuttings of holly to make festive wreaths to take home! Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided. Under 16’s are very welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and foot wear and bring plenty of enthusiasm and festive cheer!
