Rangers lead a varied working life at the best of times and James Herd is not only SWT Ranger for Barossa and Poors Allotment, but part of the SWT Grazing Team too. This illustrated talk by James Herd will discuss the various duties of both sides of the job, the wildlife and habitat highlights and some of the more light-hearted moments.

This may be of particular interest to those looking to gain a career in conservation or simply gain a greater insight into the job.

Meet at: Pond Farm, Wisley Common, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QS. Drive up the A3 towards London from Guildford. Get onto slip road as though you are joining the M25 at J10. Stay in the left hand lane as you go down the slip road. 50 metres before the traffic lights there is a small lay-by. Immediately after this lay-by, turn left.
