Portrush Rockpool Rummage with Ulster Wildlife Trust

10 August 2012 - 3:00pm - 5:30pm

Event details

10 August 2012 - 3:00pm - 5:30pm

Join us as we search the shores around Portrush for weird and wonderful creatures that live in the ocean.

From sea anemones and hermit crabs, to limpets and shrimps there's plenty waiting to be discovered.

You'll also have the opportunity to take part in 'real' science by searching for rocky shore animals and seaweeds that are indicators of climate change, as part of 'The Shore Thing' project. All of the information collected will feed into a national online database and will help build a better baseline picture of climate change across the UK.

This is a free event to celebrate The Wildlife Trusts' National Marine Week.

Booking not required. Run in partnership with Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust.

Suitable for all the family. Bring your wellies
