Annalong Rockpool Rummage with Ulster Wildlife Trust

29 July 2012 - 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Event details

29 July 2012 - 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Join us as we search the shores of Annalong for weird and wonderful creatures of the ocean.

From sea anemones and hermit crabs to limpets and shrimps, there's plenty waiting to be discovered.

You'll also have the opportunity to take part in 'real' science by searching for rocky shore animals and seaweeds that are indicators of climate change, as part of 'The Shore Thing' project.  All of the information collected will feed into a national online database and will help build a better baseline picture of climte change across the UK.

This is a free event and part of The Wildlife Trusts National Marine Week events, which are being held across the UK.  Run in partnership with Mourne Heritage Trust.

Booking not required.
