Event details
16 June 2012 - 11:00am - 4:00pm
Discover the flowers, insects and birds that populate this wild expanse of Culm grassland, Devon's most diverse wildlife habitat.
Guided walks throughout the day will introduce you to the reserve and its inhabitants, while DWT staff and expert volunteers reveal the work the Trust does to manage the site for the widest range of wildlife, and help you improve your ID skills: the reserve is well known for its marsh fritillary butterflies, devil's-bit scabious and heath-spotted orchids. Situated between two national parks, superb views are almost guaranteed; both hot and cold drinks and home-made cakes will be available too.
The reserve is located at grid reference SS 835 219 and the nearest postcode is EX36 4RP. To find out how to get to the reserve please visit www.devonwildlifetrust.org"
