This event is part of The Wildlife Trusts' Our Garden Wildlife events, which are being held all across the UK this weekend.
Join us for a day of informative workshops run by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust staff. You will be introduced to the main concepts of wildlife gardening and demonstrate the features and plants you can add to your own garden to transform it into a haven for local birds, butterflies, hedgehogs, frogs and a range of other wonderful wildlife.
There will be four 1 hour workshops to choose from as well as a chance to view the gardens, get advice from Wildlife Trust staff and buy plants.
10.30am: Principles of Wildlife Gardening
12pm: Wildlife friendly planting
1.30pm: Creating, maintaining a wildlife pond
3pm: Adding interest: nestboxes, feeders & bug hotels
Cost includes refreshments, wildlife gardening pack and wildflower seeds.
Directions to Testwood Lakes: From the M27 junction 2, take the A326 Fawley/Totton road and take the first exit, signposted Totton (A36). At the first roundabout, turn left into Brunel Road. Testwood lakes is situated 300m down on the left hand side.
