Visit the High Fell exhibition at Tullie House to discover the story of Cumbria’s fells, told through the words and voices of local people. The interactive exhibition will enable visitor to explore the landscape & wildlife of the past and changes that have taken place.
This event is part of The Wildlife Trusts' Our History events, which are being held all across the UK this weekend.
The fell landscape is a defining image of Cumbria, the picture on a postcard. But have you ever wondered what it was like 60– 70 years ago? The character of the fells has changed greatly since WWII, with developments in tourism, farming practices and other land use.
Visit the High Fell exhibition at Tullie House to discover the story of Cumbria’s fells, told through the words and voices of local people. The interactive exhibition will enable visitor to explore the landscape & wildlife of the past and changes that have taken place.
The exhibition is a culmination of Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s one year High Fell oral history project.
