13 May 2012 - 5:30am - 9:30am

Event details

13 May 2012 - 5:30am - 9:30am

Join Project Manager Martin de Retuerto and volunteers Wilf Simcox and Damian Offer for a fascinating insight into bird ringing. An important wildlife monitoring technique, bird ringing offers a unique chance to see birds closely in the hand and learn how this contributes to their conservation. Many birds typical of wetland sites may be encountered, such as kingfisher or even newly arrived summer migrants. Meet at Durngate entrance (Map ref. SU 486 297). Parking is available in the city car parks. To book your place please email Martin at martindr@hwt.org.uk. Suggested donation £2.50. Booking essential. Please note dogs are not permitted on the reserve
