There’s no better way of discovering how we are trying to save water voles in the Cotswolds than by donning wellies and gloves and helping us to enhance their habitat.
Come and see one of the water vole’s strongholds in the Cotswolds, at Greystones Farm nature reserve in Bourton-on-the-Water.
After a short talk about their plight and requirements, we will remove some of the scrub that is over-shading the river, so that sunlight can reinvigorate the riverbank’s plant-life and provide some perfect habitat for water voles and other species. This important work will hopefully allow for a larger and more resilient population at Greystones, which we can ultimately link to other populations.
Bring wellies, long sleeves and gloves if you have them. We will provide all tools and equipment and most importantly tea, coffee and biscuits!
14 and over. Anyone under age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
