FULLY BOOKED

Bring your cycle and explore with us in the heart of the Forest of Dean to learn about Forest Wildlife and its varied habitats

A sedate cycle on mostly surfaced forest rides stopping and observing wildlife points of interest along the way. Identify animal tracks and learn how various aspects of the forest cater for different wildlife needs.

Cycling pace will be slow with frequent stops. No public roads will be used and therefore no traffic to contend with. Some gradients may slow some riders but everyone is welcome to ride at their own pace and we will move on only when everyone has re-grouped at the next stop.

We suggest a rucksack with refreshments (drink/sandwich) and waterproof clothing if weather is poor. We may walk around not far from bikes at certain stops so we suggest stout footwear rather than flip flops! If you have travelled from outside the Forest of Dean you may want to consider further cycling at the nearby Pedalabikeaway center that has numerous downhill and cross country trails for those with unspent energy.
