Join us in our 50th anniversary year - pick up new skills & meet new friends!
Come and help to clear areas of non-native sycamore and beech from one of the last remaining ancient woodlands on the River Petteril. This will help promote the natural regeneration of native broadleaf species such as oak, ash and hazel, which are being outshaded by the non-native species in some areas of the nature reserve. We'll be cutting down smaller trees and using some of the branches to protect native tree regeneration from browsing deer. A marvellous opportunity to pick up new skills and to meet new friends. Booking is essential. Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and a packed lunch.
