High Speed Rail (HS2) - stop and rethink!
Proposals for a new high speed railway between London and Manchester puts wild landscapes including ancient woodlands and rare peat bogs under threat. The Wildlife Trusts believe the current route is too damaging to proceed, and that national development projects, including HS2, should be used to create and restore more wild places.
