Terms and conditions for National Marine Week Competition

Please read these competition rules carefully. By entering this competition, you are confirming you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions. 

Entries for this competition must be submitted before the stated closing date of 1st August 2023.

There is no entry fee to enter this competition, the route to entry for the competition is by submitting your name, your best marine theme poem and a valid email address which will be used to sign the entrant up to hear about news and events from The Wildlife Trusts. Please note that by submitting your poem you are agreeing that The Wildlife Trusts can use your poem on social media or their website to promote National Marine Week, we may also use it to create a found poem of different entries.

The closing date for entry will be on 1st August 2023. After this time and date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted and entrants will be notified no later than 14th August if they won. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice, any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible and outlined in this page.

The prize is as follows: a national marine bundle, consisting of one t-shirt and tote bag. If the entrant wins, the prize cannot be changed or exchanged for a different design. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable and must not be re-sold. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Winners will be chosen by our marine team, from all entries received and verified by The Wildlife Trusts. The winner will be notified via email shortly after the competition closes.
