Join our community

We look after over 80 nature reserves - special places where wildlife can thrive. With the help of our wonderful members, we carry out vital conservation work on our nature reserves and in the wider countryside.

In the 1970s, otters were dangerously close to extinction in the UK. Thanks to hard work to clean up our rivers and restore their riverbank homes, otters can now be found in every single river in the UK, including the Thames. We want to see other species such as barn owls, water voles, hedgehogs and adders make these impressive comebacks.

We're already making a difference for wildlife - but with your help we can do more. 

Individual/joint membership

  • Your Wild Guide handbook - an exclusive guide to BBOWT's nature reserves *
  • A Welcome to Wildlife magazine
  • three issues a year of our Wild magazine

  • four issues a year of our exciting Wildlife Watch magazine for children
