One day course in identification , importance and conservation of veteran/heritage trees and their unique place in the British landscape. Morning session at Abbotts hall farm, followed by an afternoon walk to look for veteran trees in Birch and Layer.

This adult course is funded by Caring for God’s Acre, who recently received grant funding for the Beautiful Burial Ground Project, from the Heritage Lottery Fund. This project will put burial grounds on the map, by revealing the hidden heritage and wildlife of burial grounds across England and Wales. Part of this project involves providing training to citizen scientists in biological recording
