Event details

13 August 2017 - 10:00am - 1:00pm

Join us for a walk on Catherton Common and Cramer Gutter, an acid enviroment of heath and bog with water filled hollows from historic mining activity. It sits on the edge of the range for northern plants and on the eastern rim of plants normally found in Wales. One of the specific aims of the walk is to find if possible evidence of the marsh gentian: last year we were delighted to find five plants at Cramer Gutter.

Venue location

Follow the A4117 (Ludlow to Cleobury Mortimer road) over Clee Hill. At Doddington take the road north towards Farlow and Oreton. After 1 mile go over a cattle grid, then turn right at the next crossroads to Upper Marshes, park on the left hand side of the open ground.,
