Country Park car park open, £1 for all day parking, ticket machines are cash only. The car park barrier is open from 8.30am to 5pm.

About the reserve

Snipe Dales nature reserve and Country Park is situated on the southern edge of the Wolds and consists of steep-sided valleys fretted by streams, which have cut through the sandstone into Kimmeridge Clay below. These Dales are one of the few substantial wet-valley systems in Lincolnshire that remain unspoilt.

Walking through the landscape is pleasant at any time of year. In autumn and winter, treecreepers and goldcrests forage in the woodlands, along with siskin and bramblings. In the spring, with the return of migrating warblers and the breeding season getting underway, the valleys and woods are filled with bird song.
