About the reserve

Bordered by mature oaks and old coppiced alder stools, Secombe's Wood is a patch of mixed, deciduous broad-leaved woodland with sweet chestnuts and alder carr off a quiet country lane.

The reserve has a good range of spring flowers, which are important for early pollinators.
