About the reserve

A wonderful chalk grassland nature reserve, this site is a private haven for wildflowers and butterflies. Cowslip, wild marjoram and some rarer species, such as the silver-spotted skipper butterfly, can be found here.

The small amount of woodland on the reserve is mostly made up of yew - an important feature of the North Downs and our longest living species of native tree. Mature beech and ash also feature.
