Would you like to play a part in inspiring the next generation to take care of our natural environment?

Gain valuable experience working on a practical project with the Trust based at Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston. You will work alongside our School Grounds Officers transforming school grounds into inspirational and exciting spaces to inspire children and young people about the natural world.

The role of School Grounds Assistant Project Officer offers an excellent opportunity to develop your current skillset, by getting involved in a diverse range of groundwork and landscaping through practical experience. The successful candidate will have experience of practical conservation, and a commitment and enthusiasm for nature conservation.

The Assistant Project Officer will be working as part of the much larger Education team here at Brockholes Nature Reserve. Brockholes is the hub for many of the activities and projects at the Lancashire Wildlife Trust and provides an opportunity to work within a vibrant and exciting workplace. Brockholes is an urban nature reserve on the edge of Preston and attracts a huge range of birds like Bitterns, Ospreys and Buzzards as well as providing a home for hundreds of species of wildflowers, invertebrates and mammals.
