The Visitor Centre at Fingringhoe Wick sits within a stunning 200 acre nature reserve which is situated on the banks of the River Colne with a magnificent saltmarsh. It has a diverse range of habitats which include heathland, woodland, scrub, ponds, lakes and a fantastic newly created intertidal area. This role will support the Fingringhoe Wick Team in the efficient and profitable running of the Centre ensuring a high quality and engaging visitor experience.

We have an exciting opportunity at Fingringhoe Wick Visitor Centre for an Assistant Centre Manager. The successful applicant will work 22.5 hours (3 days) per week across 7 days (including alternate weekends) between the hours of 8am-6pm.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing a warm welcome for our visitors.
- Assisting the Site Manager with the day to day running of a busy centre including supporting and supervising a team of volunteers and staff.
- Helping to run an engaging and fun programme of events
- Ensuring a high quality and profitable retail and catering offer is available at all times.
- Supporting a high-quality catering offer, to maximise the customer experience.
- Stepping into a duty manager role in the absence of a Site Manager (days off and holidays
