Neighbourhood Membership Officer (Door to Door in North Shropshire)

Salary: Hourly rate of £7.83 + pension contribution

To promote Shropshire’s wild places, raise the profile of Shropshire Wildlife Trust and grow its supporter base by recruiting new members in North Shropshire. Job advert extended to 27th April 2018.

Key results expected

• Members feel we are an organisation worthy of their support so they remain long term supporters, pledging as much as they can.
• The Trust’s annual recruitment target is met
• On average a new member is recruited every 2 hours

Key tasks

1. You will operate within a defined local territory during early evenings and weekends using the ‘2 step’ soft selling approach and explaining gift-aid.
2. You will recruit new, long members through field sales and presentations.
3. Attend meetings and training to keep abreast of the Trusts latest developments so you can provide up to date information.
4. Provision of excellent customer care.
5. Keep clear records of hours worked and members signed up as well as provide feedback to membership team.
6. Maintain recruiting aids and literature / materials.
