Wildlife Support Officer
The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales

Location: Cardiff area and Swansea area
Hours: 15 per week. Seasonal, typically March to October.
The role: We are looking for people to join our membership recruiting team to spread the message about our work and sign up new members.It’s a simple soft-sell, two step approach. You hand out recruitment booklets and on a prearranged day you go back and pick up the booklet – hopefully with a completed membership form with it! There is no hard sell involved and we provide you with full training and guidance to get you started.
Requirements: Applicants must be enthusiastic and reliable with above average communication and interpersonal skills. We welcome applications from people who are outgoing and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. Sales experience is desirable although no previous experience is necessary as full training is provided. Access to your own transport is desirable.
Pay: Salary meets national minimum wage guideines and is enhanced with a very generous commission rate, up to 55% for direct debit memberships !
About us: The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales is one of the network of individual conservation charities that work for the protection of all forms of wildlife and their habitats. Work is carried out at local levels and involves managing nature reserves, acting as a watchdog for threats to the wider countryside, providing environmental education for all age groups and involving volunteers in all aspects of the work
Our members provide a vital source of support for the Trust’s work. Membership fees generate the unrestricted income essential for protecting our local wildlife and habitats.
