With over 15 million gardens in the UK covering 270,000 hectares, gardens cover more space than all the National Nature Reserves in the UK.
Wildlife Gardening for Everyone is a unique handbook crammed with advice from a variety of experts on developing and cultivating a wildlife friendly garden. The book has been inspired by the Wild about Gardens project www.wildaboutgardens.org between the Royal Horticultural Society and The Wildlife Trusts in which members of the public have been encouraged to swap ideas, experiences, questions and answers. This takes the very best of these ideas, and expands on them with expert in-depth advice from professional RHS gardeners and The Wildlife Trust naturalists.
Covering over 100 gardening and wildlife themes, the book encompasses a selection of real gardeners’ greatest wildlife moments, gardening anecdotes from celebrities, facts on why cultivating wildlife is so important and advice on designing a wildlife-friendly garden. Also included are general gardening features including gardening for health and wildlife checklists.
