Join our local Friends of Mere Sands Wood group talk about their recent visit to the Falklands, including an overview of the natural and cultural heritage. Try something different this Spring...

Wed 21 March 2018 at the Visitor Centre, Mere Sands Wood, Rufford, at 7.30pm.

Terry Lake, a member of the Friends of Mere Sands Wood committee, will give an illustrated talk about his recent visit to the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic, including their flora, fauna, landscape, history and cultural heritage. Terry has relatives living there, so will be able to provide an insight into life in this wild, remote and beautiful place.

Note this event will be held in our smart new building next to the car park.

Admission is £2 for members of the Friends, £3 for non-members. Children half-price. You can book in advance at the Mere Sands Wood Visitor Centre (recommended), or pay at the door. Hot drinks are available.
