A beginners' guide to Norfolk's birds

Birdwatching at Cley

Event details

7 November 2017 - 10:30am - 2:30pm

A series of six weekly workshops led by Moss Taylor, co-author of The Birds of Norfolk and The Norfolk Bird Atlas, who has been watching, recording, and ringing birds in Norfolk for over 50 years. Each workshop will include a morning session in the Education Centre; followed by a walk around the reserve and hides after lunch. Each morning session will be divided into two halves; the first will cover a particular aspect of a bird's life or birding in Norfolk, and the second will be devoted to an understanding and identification of a group of more common Norfolk birds. By the end of the course the participants will have learnt about the life histories and identification of over 140 species that occur regularly in the county.
