Identify the Tracks & Signs of Animal Activity

This event has already passed.

Event details

21 March 2017 - 10:00am - 3:00pm

Many British animals are shy or nocturnal, which makes them difficult to see.  But they will often leave signs that prove their presence in an area.  This course will introduce you to the different techniques that will help to determine what creatures live in an area.  Through field evidence like; tracks, droppings, burrows, nests and feeding remains, identifications can be made.  We will also look at a variety of skulls and bones to classify mammal types.
