A 3.5-mile gentle walk around the lakes, canal and field edges, enjoying the many wintering birds and a little history of the construction of the Grand Union canal. Mainly flat with a few stiles and some mud.

Please remember to come dressed for the weather and you are welcome to bring a camera or binoculars. 

This event is suitable for children over 11years.

Access details:

Not suitable for those with impaired mobility or wheelchairs.

Meeting point:

Marsworth – Startops End Car Park opp. White Lion pub (closed) where B489 crosses the Grand Union Canal.

What is the terrain/distance like (walks)?

3.5 miles around reservoirs, along the canal and around field edges. Mainly flat with stiles. May be muddy or icy.
