Gosport Wildgrounds - Fun wildlife-themed and outdoor activities for children aged 5-15 years.

Wildlife Watch events are for families and young people that want to get out and about and more involved with nature. Please note, under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.

The activities are based mostly outdoors, in natural surroundings. So whatever the weather, wrap up warm and don’t forget your wellies!  

Usually the 3rd Saturday each month, 10am-12 noon at Grange Farm, Little Woodham Lane, off Howe Road, unless stated otherwise.

Fun with mud!

Saturday 19th March: Watch and Tots - sounds of Spring

Sounds of spring - recording and identifying them in the Alver Valley Country Park. TOTS: Sounds and signs of Spring.

Saturday 16th April: Watch and Tots - Natural Art

Natural Art - willow weaving, natural collage etc.

Saturday 21st May: Watch and Tots - What's in the Pond?

What's in the pond, what's not? Pond dipping and bug hunting.

Saturday 18th June: Watch and Tots - Beach Exploration

Beach exploration - 2pm start to take advantage of low tide.

Saturday 16th July: Watch and Tots - Trees

All about trees: bark rubbing, recycled paper, leaf wapping and more. 

Saturday in July: Bat Walk

Evening bat walk, hopefully with added glowworms. Date and time TBC.
